Welcome!

Anyone with a desire to paint outside may join us each Saturday morning.

To get started, show up at the designated meeting point. If you see someone wearing a black hat with the PAPC logo on it, introduce yourself. There is no formal check in. Choose a location in the vicinity of our meeting point to paint, then go for it. Be mindful to clean up after yourself and dispose of your chemicals and paints responsibly (take them home). Meet back at the designated meeting point at Noon-ish for critique.

Meet Errol, Location Master

Errol Jacobson is the Location Master for the weekly PAPC paintouts. He selects sites and posts location information every week on our website.

Errol has been painting with the PAPC since 2005 and continues to crank out awesome work! Right on Errol!

Where: Corner of Superior and Franklin at 8:30. Group view and discussion @ 12.00 in front of Starbucks at the corner of Chicago and Franklin.

Its been awhile since we've been back to this neighborhood, home to shops, galleries and urban landscape.....lots to paint.

Paint out - 3/28 - Volkening Heritage Farm

Volkening Heritage Farm offers a wide variety of rural subject matter including many barns, old farm houses, fields, farm animals,
tree lined paths etc.

Paint out - April 4th - Pick Me Up Cafe

Where: Pick Me Up Cafe , 3408 N. Clark St. (Wrighlyville)

Time: 8:30 am with a group view @ 12:00 at the Pick Me Up Cafe

We tried this location a few weeks ago but the rain got the better of us after an hour. Lots of views to paint in this fun little area. Bring quarters for parking meters in case you don't find free side street parking.

Special Paint Out - Nancy Albrecht - Sat. 4/11

Where: At the corner of St. Clair (one block east of Michigan Ave.) and Superior in front of the Corner Bakery at 676 N. St. Clair, Chicago.

Time 8:30 am.

As many of your know our good friend and fellow painter Nancy Albrecht has been in the hospital for several months now as a result of a brain aneurysm. She is currently at the Rehab Institute located at 345 E. Superior, rm 1020 and working hard to get back on her feet.

Paint out - Saturday 4/18 - Webster & Clybourn

Great area...shops, people, homes and great river views from the bridge at Webster and Ashland (a few blocks west of Clybourn)

Paint out - 4/25 - Montrose Point Bird Sanctuary

When: Saturday 4/25

Where: Montrose Point Bird Sanctuary, Montrose (4400 North) at Lake Michigan. Directions - Directions: Meet at the "Magic Hedge" located on Montrose Ave., east of Lake Shore Drive. Drive east on Montrose Ave. towards the Lake and as the road turns north take the first right by the bait shop. Continue to the nature area on the left, just before the harbor parking lot as the road starts to curve right around the harbor.

Time: 8:30 a.m. Group view 12:00 at the bait shop.
